As we age, many of us develop small or large irritating and/or unsightly spots on our skin. These diagnosis are easily made but must be differentiated from more serious lesions. The following are the most common types of skin spots:
- Angioma: small cherry red bumps that appear anywhere.
- Skin tags: skin- colored fleshy and flappy tags that appear mostly around the collar line, and in areas of skin friction from clothing or rubbing between body parts.
- Seborrheic Keratosis: flat, scaly grey, brown patches found almost anywhere on the body.
All these can be removed either by freezing them off, cutting them off, or burning them off with an electric needle.
